The IGF Basic & Advanced course covers all requirements of the STCW and IMO model course for IGF code training for ship officers. Participants will reach the minimum proficiency level in basic and/or advanced ship training covered by the Code of Safety for Ships using Gases or other Low-flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code training).
The International Code of Safety for Ships using Gases or other Low-flashpoint Fuels (IGF Code training) came into force on Jan. 1, 2017. The IGF Code covers ship design, construction and equipment, as well as operational and training issues (imo.org). De Ruyter Training & Cosnultancy offers comprehensive Basic and Advanced level training taking into account IGF Code training. Basic and Advanced IGF Code courses also meet the requirements set forth in the International Convention on Standard of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW).
