NIBHV FAFS response leader

Objective
The main purpose of the FAFS Squad Leader course is to prepare participants for the role of a squad leader within the emergency response organization. We strive to develop their leadership skills and enable them to adequately coordinate and manage a FAFS team during emergencies.

Target
The FAFS Squad Leader course is designed for experienced company first responders who aspire to take on the role of a squad leader. The course is also suitable for individuals responsible for setting up and managing the FAFS organization within their company.

Course content

The FAFS Squad Leader course covers various topics relevant to leading a FAFS team. Some key topics covered include:

  • Responsibilities and duties of the shift supervisor
  • Coordination and communication with team members and external emergency services
  • Risk analysis and risk management
  • Management of FAFS resources and equipment.
  • Leadership skills and decision-making in emergency situations
  • Exercises and practical simulations to develop leadership skills

Certification
The FAFS Squad Leader course is designed for experienced company first responders who aspire to take on the role of a squad leader. The course is also suitable for individuals responsible for setting up and managing the FAFS organization within their company.

Validity
The diploma is valid for one year from the date of issue of the diploma. If the refresher certificate is not obtained within three months of the expiration date at the latest, the diploma of basic training will have to be obtained again.

Course duration

The FAFS Squad Leader course has a duration of 2 days. There is a week between Day 1 and Day 2.

Lesson times
8:30 a.m.-5 p.m.
