GWO BTT Electrical

The Electrical module (BTTE) is an essential part of the GWO Basic Technical Training (BTT). In this module, you will acquire knowledge and skills to perform basic electrical tasks in a wind turbine environment. Whether you are new to the wind energy industry or already have some basic knowledge, this training will help you become aware of the hazards and risks associated with working on electrical systems, and how to control these hazards.

Objectives: Upon successful completion of the BTTE module, you will have acquired the following skills and knowledge:

  • Explaining the basics of electricity.
  • Discuss risks and hazards associated with electrical work.
  • Recognize the function and symbols of electrical components.
  • Explaining the operation of different types of sensors.
  • Explaining and interpreting simple electrical diagrams, and assembling them on a circuit.
  • Correct and safe measurement of electrical quantities.

Certification: Upon successful completion of the BTTE module, you will receive an internationally recognized GWO certificate. This certificate confirms that you have the required knowledge and skills to safely perform electrical tasks under the supervision of an experienced technician. Your earned certificate is registered in the Winda system, allowing you to demonstrate your qualifications to potential employers.

Course duration and times: Electrical training lasts a total of 9 hours and 55 minutes. The maximum duration per day is 10 hours. Please note that the prices listed on our website are indexed annually.

Prerequisites: To participate in the BTTE module, you must be physically fit to successfully complete the practical components. In addition, you must possess a Winda ID, which is required for registration and certification.

Register on Winda today: Before the course begins, you will need to register yourself as a participant on the Winda platform. Registration is mandatory for anyone who wants to work in wind energy. After certification, your earned certifications are automatically linked to your Winda account, making it easy to manage and share your qualifications with employers.
