ISPS Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO).

Objective
The Port Facility Security Officer (PFSO) will be in charge of monitoring compliance with the security measures set. The PFSO also serves as a liaison between the CSO and the SSO on board ships.

Intended for
This is a two-day course designed for those individuals designated as Port Facility Security Officers.
The course is available as a general course and can be tailor-made at the port concerned.

Course content
Introduction, Impact of terrorism, Terrorism, Terrorist profiling, IED´s and countermeasures,
Threats, ISPS, Principles of security, Port Security Measures, Port Facility Plan,Port Security Committee,Port Facility Assessment, Declaration of Security, Measures levels 2 and 3, Access control,Training requirements

Certification
The course concludes with a test. If one completes the test with a pass, one obtains the Port Facility Security Officer certificate
