ISPS Port Security Officer

The Port Security Officer course is a 4-day course that aims to qualify qualified security officers for security work in (sea) port areas and at the terminals and facilities there. The need for qualification stems from the ISPS Code and the related “Port Security Act. We discuss everything related to port security.

The course consists of theory and practical parts. The practical parts are tested during classes. The theoretical review takes place at the end of the last part of the day.
With satisfactory results, the student will receive the “Port Security Officer” certificate.

Target
Security guards working at or at storage and transshipment companies in the port (sea) sector.

Preliminary training
Diploma in Security Officer 2 or equivalent security certification.
Due to the terminology used in the course, basic knowledge of the English language is desirable.

Duration
The course lasts a total of 4 half-days of 3 clock hours.

Number of students
Maximum of 10 people per course.

Closing
Theoretical review will take place at the end of the last part of the day.
Practical testing takes place during the various class sections.
With satisfactory results, the student will receive the “Port Security Officer” certificate.

Acknowledgment
The course meets the requirements set by IMO and the Dutch government and is recognized by the Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management.
