Evacuation plans
Having evacuation plans developed is time-consuming and also not easy. The jungle of rules often makes it difficult to discern when they should be present and what actually belongs on them. Our organization is set up to complete this process from A to Z. Everything is developed and printed in-house.
To record and visualize the escape routes by means of floor plans of the object showing these escape routes clearly and legibly. These floor plans will be hung in various carefully chosen locations within the property for visitors to take in or consult. In addition, these evacuation plans serve as the basis for hanging safety signs and setting up an evacuation plan.
Methodology
When developing evacuation plans, we use a structured process to ensure that the plans are accurate and informative:
- Inventory and Analysis: We begin by taking a thorough inventory of all necessary drawings and data. When available, we use computerized drawings prepared according to the AutoCAD system. If these drawings are not available, we map the property ourselves with appropriate dimensions and features.
- Adaptation of drawings: If the property’s floor plans are already available in AutoCAD in automated form, we modify them for use as evacuation plans. In doing so, we ensure that all relevant information is clearly visible.
- On-site inspection: Next, we conduct a thorough on-site inspection. We check not only the accuracy of the floor plans, but also the locations of fire extinguishers, safety devices such as first aid equipment, escape routes/ways and the positions where evacuation plans should be hung.
- Approval and placement: Upon approval of the floor plans, they will be placed and/or delivered if desired. We ensure that evacuation plans are hung in strategic locations within the property for visitors to view and reference. They also serve as the basis for hanging safety signs and setting up an evacuation plan.
