STCW Designated Person Ashore (DPA).
Introduction
The Designated Person Ashore (DPA) course, provides comprehensive training related to the implementation and maintenance of a company’s Safety Management System (SMS) in accordance with ISM Code requirements. The course complies with IMO MSC-MEPC.7/ Circ.6 “Guidelines for the qualification, training and experience required to perform the role of the Designated Person under the provisions of the ISM Code.”
Objectives
The course fully prepares participants to assume the role of DPA by providing them with the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to implement and maintain the company’s SMS as required by the ISM Code.
Admission Requirements
Participants should have solid experience in shipping and ship operations, as well as a good knowledge of the ISM Code.
For whom is this course intended?
This course is designed for employees of shipping companies such as superintendents, quality managers, designated persons, nautical officers and engineers.
Duration
The course covers a total of 3 days over 3 weeks. Course days are from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.

– Handling mandatory rules and regulations

Certification
Upon successful completion of the course, participants will receive a certificate of completion.
