Day 1 - Crowd Management

The session begins with an introduction to the course objectives and an overview of crew responsibilities during onboard incidents. This is followed by a detailed discussion of shipboard emergency procedures, including alarm signals, muster stations, and communication protocols. Attention is given to human behavior during crises — how fear, panic, and stress influence passenger reactions, and how crew members can respond effectively.

The morning concludes with practical scenarios that emphasize crowd control, leadership, clear communication, and teamwork under pressure.
