About this course

IGF - Approved Simulator Training

Introduction
During this simulator-based training, participants experience realistic onboard scenarios such as fuel leaks, bunkering incidents, and emergency procedures. Through high-fidelity simulation, trainees gain hands-on understanding of fuel system dynamics, risk management, and decision-making under pressure. The course bridges theoretical knowledge and real-world practice, enhancing the participants’ operational competence and confidence when handling low-flashpoint fuels.

Objective
The objective of this simulator training is to ensure that participants can apply their theoretical knowledge in realistic situations. Upon completion, participants are able to operate fuel systems safely, manage emergencies effectively, conduct bunkering operations securely, and communicate according to international safety standards. The training strengthens teamwork, coordination, and situational awareness during IGF-related operations.

Target group
The course is intended for masters, officers, engineers, and other shipboard personnel responsible for the operation, maintenance, and safety of IGF fuel systems on vessels subject to the IGF Code.
