DRTC is a GWO-certified training provider authorised to deliver GWO training on-site at suitable client locations. This means we can bring recognised GWO training directly to your company, project location or vessel, provided the location and facilities meet the applicable GWO requirements.

Instead of sending an entire crew to a training centre, DRTC can come to you. We provide GWO on-site training throughout the Netherlands at suitable wind industry locations, offshore bases, ports, company premises and on board vessels.

Our on-site training possibilities include GWO Working at Heights, GWO First Aid and other applicable GWO modules. DRTC can also provide maritime, offshore and wind safety training on-site, including Boat Landing, First Aid and STCW Elementary First Aid.

DRTC Curaçao has reached another important milestone. Following an extensive audit by the Dutch Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT), our key STCW training courses in Curaçao have once again been officially recognised.

This recognition goes beyond the approval of individual STCW courses.

DRTC is also recognised by ILT as a maritime training institute, confirming that not only our courses, but also the organisation, quality management, instructors, facilities and processes behind our training meet the requirements of the Dutch maritime authority.

For seafarers, shipping companies, ship managers, crewing agencies, yacht crew and other maritime organisations throughout the Caribbean, this provides an important assurance of quality.

De Ruyter Training & Consultancy (DRTC) is als eerste maritiem trainingsinstituut van Nederland volledig geaudit én erkend binnen de nieuwe landelijke erkenningssystematiek van de Inspectie Leefomgeving en Transport (ILT) voor maritieme trainingsinstituten.

Na een uitgebreide audit heeft ILT besloten over te gaan tot erkenning van DRTC als erkend maritiem trainingsinstituut voor de komende vijf jaar. Daarmee is DRTC het eerste trainingscentrum in Nederland dat deze nieuwe erkenning ontvangt onder de vernieuwde wet- en regelgeving voor maritieme opleidingen en trainingen.

In July 2021, during the meeting of the Caribbean Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control (CMOU), the Code of Safety for Small Commercial Vessels engaged in voyages in the Caribbean region (SCV Code) was amended.

The Maritime Dutch Law Assessment (online) evaluates your knowledge of Dutch legislation required to obtain and have a seafaring certificate recognized. Captains, chief mates, and chief engineers must demonstrate that they are familiar with Dutch maritime law.

For many years, we have been providing training in cooperation with Safety Centre Zeeland (formerly Training Centre Vlissingen) for numerous shipping companies and offshore organizations in areas such as sea survival, fire fighting and prevention, first aid, and safe work procedures, including working and rescue at heights and in confined spaces.

A new, independent quality mark for ambitious providers of safety courses: on January 1, 2018, NIBHV officially launched the new certification. DRTC is the first training institute from Zeeland and the sixth in the Netherlands to achieve this NIBHV quality mark.
