To participate in the exam, you need:
- A good command of the English language, as the exam is conducted orally in English.
- Training as a deck officer or engineer according to STCW 1978 (including the Manila Amendments 2010).
- The participant must have thoroughly studied the syllabus provided by DRTC via email (drtc@drtc.nl).

The (oral – online) STCW Maritime Dutch Law Assessment exam takes approximately 60 minutes. Use of the syllabus is allowed during the exam.
The exam can also be taken online (via Microsoft Teams) and is available upon request.
