IntroductionHelicopter operations on offshore platforms involve unique safety challenges. The Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and Helicopter Deck Assistant (HDA) are responsible for ensuring safety during helicopter arrivals and departures. This course trains participants to manage fire and rescue situations effectively and to safely evacuate crew and passengers in the event of an incident. It specifically targets offshore facilities without helicopter refueling systems. ObjectiveThe objective of this course is to train participants to act effectively in emergency situations involving helicopter operations. Upon completion, they will have the knowledge and practical skills to extinguish fires and perform rescue operations safely on the helideck. Target groupPersonnel designated as Helicopter Landing Officers (HLO) or Helicopter Deck Assistants (HDA) working on offshore oil and gas installations without refueling systems, and who do not hold a valid NOGEPA 2.6 Fire-Fighting and Rescue Team Member certificate.
