About this course

GWO WAH-R + FA-R

Introduction
During this combined training course, participants learn how to work safely at height in and around wind turbines and how to respond appropriately to accidents and medical emergencies in a wind turbine environment.

The course combines theoretical instruction with realistic practical exercises. The Working at Heights module covers the use of harnesses, safety lines, work positioning systems, fall protection and rescue equipment. During the First Aid module, participants practise life-saving first aid techniques, caring for and stabilising casualties, and communicating with professional emergency services.

Throughout the course, emphasis is placed on risk awareness, safe behaviour, teamwork and effective action during emergency situations.

Objective
The objective of this refresher training is to refresh and strengthen the knowledge and skills required for working safely at height and providing first aid. After completing the course, participants will be able to use fall protection equipment safely, recognise risks and respond appropriately during emergency and rescue situations. They will also be able to provide first aid and care for and stabilise a casualty in a wind turbine environment.

Target Group
This combined training course is intended for personnel who work or will be working in the wind energy industry or related sectors and who need to renew both their GWO Working at Heights certificate and their GWO First Aid certificate.
