About this course

GWO FA-R + FAW-R + SS-R

Introduction
During this combined refresher course, participants learn how to act safely and effectively in various emergency situations within the wind energy industry.

First Aid focuses on life-saving actions and the care and stabilisation of casualties. During Fire Awareness, participants practise recognising fire hazards, evacuation procedures and extinguishing an initial fire. Sea Survival covers safe conduct during boat transfers, evacuations and emergency situations at sea.

Throughout the training, personal safety, teamwork, risk awareness and practical action are central.

Objective
The aim of the GWO FA-R + FAW-R + SS-R is to refresh and strengthen previously acquired knowledge and skills. After completing the course, participants are able to provide first aid, recognise fire hazards, evacuate safely and extinguish an initial fire. They are also able to use rescue equipment, carry out safe boat transfers and respond correctly to emergency situations at sea.

Target Group
This training is intended for employees in the wind energy industry or related sectors who need to renew their GWO First Aid, GWO Fire Awareness and GWO Sea Survival certificates.

The First Aid module is also suitable for seafarers and technicians renewing their certification in accordance with the IMO/ILO Document for Guidance from 1985.
