NIBHV Firefighting and Evacuation
The Basic Emergency Response – Firefighting and Evacuation course focuses on recognizing, preventing, and extinguishing small fires, as well as safely managing evacuations. Participants practice door control, using fire blankets, hose reels, and portable extinguishers such as powder, foam, and CO₂ types. During evacuation exercises, they learn how to act in smoke conditions and guide colleagues and visitors to designated assembly points. The day concludes with a written examination on firefighting and evacuation, followed by an evaluation.
