Please note that this course is intended for seafarers with a dutch certificate of competence in order to upgrade their Certificate of Competence to Chief Officer and/or Master, 2nd engineer and/or Chief engineer.
Objective
Teaching management techniques; Occupational Health and Safety; ISM; Marpol; BRM/ERM; Stability/Maintenance management; Manage the Crew.
Intended for
From 1 February 2002 for Captain (except if limited to "near shore voyages" and "fishing"), Chief Officer, Chief Engineer and first maritime officer.
Not required for the holders of the diploma: Chief officer all ships >500GT, the diploma C as a marine engineer, Refresher course 6000 - 9000 GT was successfully completed.
A certificate of participation in a maritime engineering course shall be regarded as equivalent.
Seafarers already in the position of captain or Chief Engineer before 1-2-02 do not have to comply with this requirement.
