This training is to provide an understanding of the nature of the potential hazards and what to do in the unlikely event that this should occur. The goal is to reach a standard of fire fighting and command and control in fire fighting operations.
The course is intended for all personnel according to STCW, is mandatory for:
Masters on all vessels
Ch. officer on ships > 500 BRT.
Ch. engineer on ships > 750 kW
Second engineer on ships > 750 kW
According the Dutch Law the course is mandatory for all watch keeping officers.
Certificate of Pre-sea certificate or Basic training (STCW 1978/95)
All trainees must be in possession of a valid health certificate and in good health and be physically capable to take part in practical exercises.
