A new part of training are GWO trainingen. There is an increasing demand for the training courses in relation to work in Wind Industry . DRTC has a close cooperation with Height Safety Expert (HSE) for working at heights.
When working on windturbines it isessential that one has received training in the approach, transfer to and the climbing into the mast and nacelle. Besides this the escape from heights and rescue of colleques is a fixed training aspect. To exercises thes items DRTC realized a specialised training tower.
Next to the transfer to the tower and nacelle fire awareness and emergency escape from the smoke filled nacelle are mandatory training items. All of this caaried out from or at a height of 15 meters.
The Global Wind Organisation (GWO) is an association of Wind Turbine owners and manufacturers with the aim of supporting an injury-free work environment in the wind industry.
This Standard has been developed in response to the demand for recognizable Basic Safety Training (BST) & basic technical training (BTT) in the industry.
This Standard describes the requirements for Basic Safety Training & Basic Technical Training courses that are recommended by the members of GWO. The full standard covers 5 + 3 modules:

- Manual Handling
- Fire Awareness
- Working at Height
- Sea Survival
- Mechanical
- Hydraulics
- Electrical
Training is verified through the GWO database WINDA.
The standard has been approved by the GWO Steering Committee.
